Get a Gemini API key from Google AI Studio

DoWaba's AI assistant uses Google's Gemini models. A free API key takes just a few clicks.

  1. Go to aistudio.google.com/apikey and sign in with your Google account.
  2. Click the "Create API key" button in the top right.
  3. Select an existing Google Cloud project or use "Create API key in new project".
  4. Copy the key starting with AIzaSy... — you'll enter it in DoWaba in the next step.
If the free quota isn't enough, open billing in Google Cloud Console to get a higher rate limit. The free tier is more than sufficient for most small and medium businesses.

Create your DoWaba account

Create an account with email + password. Or sign in with Google in one click.

  • Account creation is free, no payment info required.
  • You can access the panel as soon as you click the email verification link.
  • You can delete your account or export your data anytime (GDPR compliant).

Create your first site and connect the Gemini key

Each DoWaba site is an independent AI assistant. Create as many sites as you need and connect different channels to each.

  1. Once in the panel, click "New Site"; give it a name and domain (optional).
  2. Go to the Settings tab in the site detail.
  3. Paste the key you copied in step 1 into the "Gemini API Key" field and save.
  4. Optionally update the bot name, welcome message and color on the same page.
Have multiple brands? Create a separate site for each brand. Each site has its own FAQ, prompt and integrations.

Add FAQs — with AI in minutes

Your assistant needs to know the frequently asked questions to give correct answers. You can enter them manually or paste any text and have AI generate them automatically.

  1. Go to Site → FAQ in the panel ("+ New FAQ" and "Bulk Add" buttons are visible).
  2. Click Bulk Add; paste whatever you have — product descriptions, a page from your website, a price list or PDF content.
  3. Optionally enter a product/brand name; AI will make questions more specific.
  4. Click "Extract"; Gemini reviews the text and categorizes the questions. Delete what you don't like and save the rest with one click.
Speed tip: paste your entire product catalog or website texts and generate hundreds of FAQs in 30 seconds. Edit individually afterward if needed.
